I drew this in my sketch book in the summer of 96, but never finished it. Later named her Ty. It is still one of my favorite pieces, so I felt like showing it off. I’m unhappy with the fact that I never finished it, it looks a bit rough all over, and the hands suck. Enjoy!
Each of my posts you see were sketched with pencil, then inked it all in stippling. I erased the pencel as I went little by little.
Thanks for dropping by and viewing my work!!!
Thank you for dropping by and viewing my works. They are all pretty old and I see a lot of the issues that you pointed out. The image of the drow that you modifyed looks great. Seeing your version helps get the point across.
As I said, all of these are old, so I hope to finish up some new works for posting. I hope not to have some of my old issues with my new things. Guess we'll have to see.
I think I first starting using stippling in my second year of high school for a basic drawing class (during the same lesson for hatching and cross hatching). I think I liked stippling so much because it's easy and I can't draw a straight line in one contunious motion. But I can fake a straight line using dots.
I did most of my work in high school using stippling, hatching, and cross hatching. It's so easy to tune out the teacher during class and zone out while lost in a series of dots.
BTW, love the work your doing too.
I can dig that, the zoning out thing that is I'm too impatient for stippling, though I did like the way it made my clouds come out in that one ink drawing I did and it does look great when it's done well like you do it. So, keep it up and thanks for the compliment.
Thanks for checking out my work and leaving comments.
I really like stippling because of the effect you get out of it and because I can't draw a straight line, but it's easy to fake it with a bunch of dots.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
